When it comes to quenching your thirst over the holidays, there's a handful of prestigious brands and bespoke bottlers doing their bit to lure your palette their way.
There's limited edition runs, kitsch dial-a-bottle services and labs set up to serve you the next best drink this summer.
Dom to your door
For a kitsch nod to cool and sadly only limited to Palm Beach – Sydney residents and holiday makers over summer – is a concierge service for a perfectly chilled Dom Pérignon delivered to your door by land and sea.
Kicking off on December 16 and running to January 8, 2018 the services promises Palm Beach dwellers a bottle of their favourite vintage champagne with the sending of a text. Within an hour the bottle will arrive at your door.
Choose from new vintages, Dom Pérignon 2009 and Dom Pérignon Rosé 2005, as well as the fabled Dom Pérignon P2 1998 –all made possible by Stedmans Hospitality and wine.com.au.
Johnnie Walker brings a new kind of whisky to the summer drawcard with a focus on two limited-edition experiments: the Blenders' Batch Espresso Roast and Blenders' Batch Rum Cask Finish.
Both expressions capture the earthiness of whisky, with the Espresso Roast featuring a hint of coffee drive, and the Rum Cask Finish spiced with sweet and fruity notes. You'll find them both at Dan Murphy's for $55 for 500mls.
In an effort to woo a new audience, the brand has dropped its tough guy image in favour for bespoke cocktails infusions which these limited whisky blends are ideal for – especially if you're looking for a new take on an espresso martini to impress your friends.
Another liquor riffing off the same caffeinated notes is Mr Black's new Coffee Amaro – a liqueur that is limited in its summer run to woo thrill seekers.
It's got an eye on espresso notes and when served on the rocks is designed to be a refreshing summer pick-me-up.
The grand widow
Impress your mum, partner or cool woman in your life with a Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2006 created by fashion designer Charlotte Olympia.
Inspired by Charlotte Olympia's best-selling Vanina Clutch, the special edition grained leather La Grande Dame 2006 gift box locks with gold clasp lettering and is lined with a mirror and bespoke leopard print.
If you fancy becoming the star of your own show, then say hello to the new kid on the cocktail block Batch and Co. It's the ideal go-to mixer when making premium cocktails at home.
Launched by award-winning Swedish born and Melbourne based bartender Thomas Kiltorp – with his friend Pru Corrigan – these mixers are designed to take the fuss out of cocktail making but keeping the spirits in top shape in the process.
Now you have no excuse to skip the hard to make cocktails – with spiced daiquiris, mimosas and gin and juice cocktails a breeze for summer.
There's also plenty on offer over the coming months to make your spritz needs a whole lot easier. We've spotted the Aperol and Riccadonna duo for a fuss free combo, while Hendricks has a Gin Lovers book pack for the white spirit enthusiast.
For luxe palettes with big budgets, Appleton Estate has a 50-year-Old Jamaican Independence Reserve Rum at $6000 while cognac excellence comes in the shapely form of L'Or de Jean Martell for $5500 just in time for a Christmas splurge. Presented in a crystal decanter it's big on rich complexity inside and out.
