One million plastic bottles are bought every minute around the globe – cluttering landfills and poisoning oceans. Buy a BPA-free water bottle or a reusable glass bottle of Voss at the supermarket.

Smooth, glowing skin
With baking soda and coconut oil Avoid paying exorbitant sums for fancy facial scrubs. Mix half a cup of coconut oil with half a cup baking soda, and you've got a winner of a skin cleanser that yogis and greenies swear by.
I tried it, and it works immediately. My skin is incredibly smooth and undeniably healthier.
A lean, solid chest
With push-up handles. A fit, lean chest is built with a classic exercise – the push-up. Push-up handles can be used in the home, gym, and hotel, and they allow for greater range of motion with neutral and safe wrist alignment.
A whiter smile
With turmeric. Whiter teeth with turmeric? Indeed. A recipe contains two teaspoons of ayurvedic super-spice turmeric mixed with one teaspoon of coconut oil and one teaspoon of baking soda. Add a toothpaste-like amount and brush for two minutes.
I tried it, and it works immediately. Quick advice: rinse plenty, and be careful – turmeric stains everything.
With an avocado. Let skin absorb healthy potassium from an avocado face mask. It's simple – mash half an avocado then apply to a rinsed face and let settle for 15 minutes.
I tried it, and… I lie. I made salmon tacos with guacamole.
With a skipping rope with weighted handles. A simple rope is all that's required to perform the best calorie burning cardio movement in fitness. Add the push-up handles and kettlebell to sit-ups, planks, lunges, and burpees and a home gym is cheap as chips.
With a meditation app. The link between stress and weight gain (and more serious medical complications) is scientifically documented. Stress less with meditation. The Mindfulness App, Headspace, and Calm are just a few of many free meditation apps that can calm and soothe the soul.
By de-tech'ing the bedroom. Make it a rule in 2018: No television, smartphones, gaming, or tablets in the bedroom. Turn the bedroom into a peaceful abode for reading, sex, and sleep. Daily energy will change for the good in 2018.
With a tennis ball. A foam roller is a great tool for stimulating blood flow and myofascial release. Similar rolling exercises can be performed with a simple, nearly free tennis ball.
With a dog. A furry companion adds love and healthy years to a life while getting outdoors for walks, Vitamin D, and exercise. Adopt and save a life at the RSPCA while changing a human's forever. But remember, this is a lifetime responsibility, not just for Christmas.
With a hug. Enough of the socialite faux-hugs. Get right in there and give a 20 second hug. Watch the heart rate slow and stress decrease while that feel good hormone oxytocin does its thing. A long embrace feels amazing for all involved.
Give $5 to a homeless person. Give a Christmas meal or toys to a family in need. Give a cheer up session to a mate who had some mental struggles during 2017.
Your Christmas shopping list is plentiful and under $100. It's the gifting of a fit body, healthier smile and face, love and giving – less chocolate and chub, more health.
